GradLedger is part of MiniTools, a small set of free, single-purpose web tools. It helps homeschool parents act as the school registrar: keep a record of high school courses, calculate GPA and credits correctly, write course descriptions and produce a clean transcript.
Why it exists
Many transcript tools charge per transcript, add a watermark, email the PDF to collect your address, or keep your records behind an account. Grade records are sensitive, and a family should be able to make a transcript without handing them over. GradLedger is free and works entirely in your browser.
How the numbers are calculated
GPA uses the standard credit-weighted formula with exact arithmetic and the grading scale and weights you choose. The formula, scale and weights are printed on every transcript. See the GPA calculator for a worked example.
What GradLedger is not
GradLedger is a record-keeping tool. It doesn't accredit anything, isn't affiliated with any school, college, testing organization or government agency, and doesn't give legal advice. A transcript made here is a parent-issued homeschool record.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free with no paid tier and no ads in the tool. Each PDF carries a small "Prepared with GradLedger" line, which is how other families find it.
