Privacy & Terms

Short version: your student's records never leave your device.

Privacy

GradLedger runs in your browser. Student names, dates of birth, courses, grades, hours, notes, logos and signatures are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to our servers or anyone else. PDFs are created on your device. Clearing your browser's site data deletes the records, so download a backup file from the Settings & backup tab.

Backup files you download contain your records in plain JSON. Store them somewhere private.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few anonymous events, such as "transcript downloaded". It's cookie-free, doesn't track you across sites, and never receives names, grades or anything you type into the tool.

Terms

GradLedger is provided "as is", without warranty. You're responsible for the accuracy of the records you create and for following your state's homeschool law and each college's requirements. Use GradLedger only for your own homeschool's records: don't use it to imitate another school or institution, or to create records of work that wasn't done.

GradLedger is free for personal use and for co-ops and microschools keeping their students' records.
